Local Olympic Sailer Gets Sponsor

Sunsail Sailing Vacations of Clearwater announced a sponsorship agreement to support local sailor Zach Railey, who learned how to sail in the youth program at Clearwater Yacht Club. Railey brought home a Silver medal from the 2008 Beijing Olympics and wants to to compete in the 2012 Olympics in London.

Pro Volleyball Comes To Clearwater Beach

Corona Light's Extreme Volleyball Professionals Tour will stop in Clearwater Beach for the first time on May 5th. The EVP Tour is a travelling, two-on-two beach volleyball series with men's and women's professional divisions

15 to 35 teams are expected to participate in the double-elimination tournament. Local teams can enter for a $100 fee. Top pros are expected to compete for a total purse of $5,000. First place in each division pays $900 and the top 7 teams in each division will cash.
